Core Principles for Independent Financial Advisors
As an independent financial advisor (IFA), placing clients' interests ahead of the firms' has always been our core principle. We operate in sharp contrast to the self-serving individuals and institutions that litter the financial services industry.
Our philosophies originate from observing big Wall Street firms consistently acting recklessly with clients' assets. The insincere actions of the large players have given the industry a bad name. Their actions are rooted in a culture that is filled with conflict of interest that place motives in the wrong place. Our business model eliminates this structure, as our clients' success is our own.
1. Parallel Investing
We align our own principals' interest with that of our clients' by practicing “Parallel Investing.” This means that one or more of the firm’s principals are invested in each of our investment programs. Every client can be assured that each investment decision made on their behalf was considered like it was our own, because our personal investment accounts participate at equal price and percentages.
"If an advisor suggests an investment, he should be willing to put his money at risk."
- Steve Peasley, President of KPP Financial
2. Fee Only Advisors
As an independent registered investment advisor, you will never find us pushing high commission products because we do not receive any commissions. We are fee only financial planners and receive no other payments or hidden fees. Most other financial advisors are simply pushing products their brokers want them to sell to clients in order to get commissions and backdoor fees.
3. Knowledge and Unbiased Analysis
We are a boutique financial advisor who continuously strives to improve our client service, technology and investment strategies in order to give the best wealth management advice in the industry.
