As we watch the damage to our economy from the pandemic and the riots seen every night in major cities, there has to be a crisis brewing in urban housing.
With social distancing efforts and the ease of spread in cities like New York, where density is an issue, those wanting for a safer life away from the coronavirus may turn to rural America. That can easily reverse the trend over the past years of moving into cities to moving out. With the issue of riots, and many large city governments apparently unable or unwilling to quail the destruction, urban home prices will start to be affected.
Urban home prices are going to fall and this will play out over the next year or two.
