Frequently Asked Questions

The financial industry is often designed to be complex and opaque. At KPP Financial, we operate with complete clarity. Below are straightforward answers regarding our fiduciary standards, investment mechanics, and specialized solutions. If you don't see your specific question addressed, send us a message to get an unbiased answer directly from our team.

Which login portal should I use: Orion or Schwab?

We use two distinct platforms for security and clarity. Use Charles Schwab to view your daily account balances, trade confirmations, and tax documents (this is where your assets are held). Use Orion Planning to view your holistic "Financial Roadmap," net worth visualizations, and long-term goal tracking.

How does the Client Referral Program work?

We believe independent advice should be shared. If you introduce a friend or family member to KPP Financial, both you and your referral will receive a $250 billing credit toward your next quarter’s advisory fees once they become a client. This creates a "win-win" and helps us grow our community of disciplined investors.

What is the minimum portfolio size for KPP Financial?

To fully utilize our Individual Stock Strategies (such as Dynamic Growth or Stable Income), we generally recommend a starting portfolio of $250,000. Since we buy individual securities rather than generic funds, this capital level ensures proper diversification.

However, we make exceptions for "Accumulators." If you are a dedicated saver currently building toward this milestone, we evaluate relationships on a case-by-case basis. We look for the trajectory of the investor, not just the current balance.

Do you use options in your portfolios?

Yes, for specific income strategies. In our Equity Income+ program, we utilize Covered Call Writing. By "selling" upside potential on positions we own, we collect premiums from speculators, which "supercharges" your income stream and provides a hedge against market volatility.

I’m already retired. Can you generate income without high risk?

Yes. Our Stable Income and Balanced Income strategies are designed specifically for the distribution phase of life. We prioritize the safety of principal using bond ladders and dividend-paying stocks with strong balance sheets, avoiding the speculative risks of growth stocks.

What is "Parallel Investing"?

Parallel Investing is our promise of accountability. It means that for every strategy we recommend to you, whether Dynamic Growth or Stable Income, one or more of our principals invest their own personal capital into the same securities, on the same day, at the same price. We succeed only when you do.
